Boeing, Indonesian airline sign deal for jets

NUSA DUA, Indonesia (Reuters) – Boeing Co and Indonesian’s Lion Air signed on Friday an covenant for the Southeast Asian nation’s largest domestic carrier to buy $21.7 billion worth of jets from the U.S. aircraft maker. The deal was announced by the White House during a trip by U.S. President Barack Obama to the Asia-Pacific. Executives signed the deal in Bali, Indonesia, where Obama will attend the East Asia summit.
