Business Process Management (BPM) is a set of activities undertaken by organizations to improve or streamline their business processes. In view of the fact that software tools are generally used to support these activities, these software tools known as Business Process Management Systems.

Traditionally, to implement automation in a business establishment, developers would have to be hired to develop applications that automate certain processes. Sorry to say, the scope of these projects was often too narrow. The result of which is that automation is not well integrated in the business environment as automation only concerned with a particular department or function. Wave 3. Process On-The-Glide
The primary consideration in these systems is the flexibility to change. Companies that adhere to this objective to start business environments that can adapt to their changing needs. This configuration also allows the business to adjust their operations constantly excellent. This wave is not business process reengineering. It is maintaining an environment that is constantly on their toes, ready to adapt to circumstances, and to maximize their strengths and minimize their weaknesses.
