Learn the meaning of business processes is absolutely necessary to improve these processes and to significantly improve business performance in any way – In each business. When our first business committed to their customers for introducing quality management systems (ISO9001) which was common to advise clients to 'say what you do "-" do what you say. This theory was fine as long as the defining (say) what was to become reality, I knew what should happen, but rarely did, and the result was a management system that rarely works in the way defined by the pleadings. Our focus from the beginning was 'map' process before the citations of them – a simple task you might reckon. We started this project, looking for as many individual viewpoints of each business process we have able to learn and start the process map through a series of meetings with these people. There was an "absolute process mapping 'and this is that the farther you go from the people doing the work personally, unless one really understands how the establishment operates. We believe this method mapping to be a crucial activity, because it establishes what is really happening. From here you can determine if that's what has to happen, and can be improved.
Process mapping in view of the fact that we started using it has become what some might consider as a specialized activity, with articles, books, software and courses existing so it is essentially an information gathering exercise. Related tasks and management of many, is more a social excellent as opposed to a technical activity. Convincing people who are interested in their views on what does and does not try to catch out the path to success, and here we were obviously success. This does not mean that the tools existing today do not work, just that in the absence of a culture of cooperation between the parties' success be more hard.
After having made a process map that a consensus of views of all interested parties, opportunities to make improvements to the process or processes should be apparent, but, how to do this is vital. The views of everyone involved in the original data collection must be collected again to ensure that the review process may really work as intended, and not become another documented process imposed by management that have failed to be with you the basics of the business.
The most valuable information for business managers, here as everyplace else – it must be very cautious to delegate to its employees, who can do it!
