Fitch cuts Portugal rating on high debts, worse outlook

LISBON (Reuters) – Fitch downgraded Portugal’s confidence rating to junk status on Thursday, citing generous fiscal imbalances, high amount outstanding and the risks to its EU-mandated simplicity program from a worsening economic outlook.
