Distilled or …
Distilled or bottled fill up from a excellent source are best. Some tap fill up contains minerals that can do weird equipment in soap. Usually, these contaminants wind up floating and forming a “skin” at the top of the lye/fill up mixture, so you’ll likely know they are there.

also what do you reckon about making Soap with Pure 1000% clean Distilled Fill up instead Purified? i dont want Sodium Fluoride in my Soap.. =/

I’m not sure what you mean by “conventional soap.” This is the soapmaking method that has been used for centuries. Lye is extremely toxic, but if soap is made correctly, there is no lye in the soap. Please see our video “The Chemistry of Soapmaking” for an explanation. You cannot make soap without lye.

I always have a notebook on hand, even for recipes I have done a hundred time.
I don’t reuse mine …
I don’t reuse mine for cooking because I sell my soap. Some folks have extreme allergies to reckon such as peanut oil, and I’d despise to have cross contamination. But, if you are only using your soap and food for yourself, a run through the dishwasher should get your items clean enough to use for cooking. Cheers!

The soap turns into a gel and gets darker and may even boil up a small in the center. It all depends on the type of mold you are using and how well you have insulated it. People tend to get really finicky during this the boards and start poking around, stirring, temp testing,etc. We reckon it’s best to just leave it alone! =)
