3. WNS: WNS is the third largest BPO in India and this year, bagged a contract for 8 years with Aviva Global Services for $ 1bn. Aviva contributes approximately 20 percent income and BPO WNS has grown by 51 percent this year.
4. Wipro: Wipro is the fourth largest BPO in India. Growth rate: 43 percent. Revenue: Rs. 1.641 billion rupees. Wipro is the only BPO in India, which has added 12 employees per cent this year, compared to BPO that is facing many layoffs.
5. FirstSource: FirstSource's Medassist customer acquisition, the giant health care has increased the fortune of FirstSource. The business of health care were added up to 85 percent of the contribution of FirstSource's revenue and overall business has grown by 45 percent.
6. Aegis: Aegis Essar is No. 6 on the list of BPO well loved in India. That year saw the company grow into a massive 83% to record revenues of Rs 1.558 million rupees. The company is hiring a lot of people and has led to a workforce of 43,000 by the end of this fiscal year.
7. IBM-Daksh, IBM grew 15 percent to earn an income of Rs.1486 crores reported. The domestic business IBM-Daksh has been doing well, thanks to offers from MakeMyTrip and Bharti.
8. Infosys BPO: Infosys BPO grew by 51% during fiscal year 2008-09 to rank in the no. 8. The Total reported revenue was Rs.1471 crores. Infosys has recently ventured into an alliance with the United States, with MortgageFlex based systems to offer more to the mortgage industry.
9. Aditya Birla Minacs: This BPO recorded negative growth and the fate of the company fell by 9% to stand at Rs 1,430 million rupees. In view of the fact that 90 per cent of revenues came from North America, is natural to see the BPO entering a phase of loss.
