Is Business Process Outsourcing a Good Idea?

Most of the Companies world wide outsource thier business processes to countries like India,china,Korea,,etc.Do you support this phenomenon?
BPO has to be outsourced, yes. Each spot in your company that has not to deal with you main process should be outsourced. Then you can focus on your core business and increase profits by concentrating on value added products or services.
Now the question is, are application outsourcing and infrastructure outsourcing a excellent thought? The answer is yes, but you should trust very much the provider!
Also please notice that, like sc_tazman, you should not confuse outsourcing and offshoring. Outsourcing has not to be offshore. Your BPO can be done inshore!
I belive that if you have work that can benefit you own people than use them. Why would you give you jobs to someone you don't know or even ever see. You have no control over someone elses company and if the job is not done right you can't take care of the problem yourself.
