hahah, they see me …
hahah, they see me trollin…
you gotta be more subtle. make it sound like you’re not trolling first, to sucker me into an e-Debate, then troll. you’re too blatant with it.
not a opportunity
not a opportunity
not yet! the …
not yet! the highest one is at 22% with 102 days left. reckon he’ll make it?
probably a smart …
probably a smart go do you even have a song over 40% that isnt a demo?
we should probably …
we should probably quit huh?
epic epic fail…. …
epic epic fail….you’ve been up for what a month now? and not one song is at 100% epic fail
I just realized if …
I just realized if you were being sarcastic about the firefox theme comment, it went right over my head. Like, completely
You got it
Then …
Then the music is released under a Creative Commons license so people can pirate, remix, and share it with eachother without being prosecuted.
You got it
Thanks for signing up!
Duh! Well thanks …
Duh! Well thanks for replying so soon. I joined Musicslu last night, but looks like it is too early to make any judgments. The thought is really excellent, but did I get it right? After the artist decides he wants to make, say $1,000, for his album, and people swear an oath towards that goal and they reach it, that would be all the money the artist is getting for album sales right?
Thanks! Really …
The fonts in Safari look clearer for the video than in other browsers.
Thanks! Really that’s the Safari browser
Fantastic thought, I …
Fantastic thought, I really hope it works. Off on a tangent now though, what firefox theme are you using on the video?
If you reckon about …
If you reckon about it, the fanbase is already there. The fanbase is dependent upon the band, NOT the service. See my example in response to stopgeorge, below.
As I be with you it, …
As I be with you it, if each major artist and record mark subscribed to the kind of service described here (which, if it’s a hit, certainly isn’t out of scope), then there would BE no new music without pledging. Certainly not from the huge artists.
So if you were a huge fan of, say, Green Day, you would swear an oath for all their albums, and if not enough people pledged then their album would by no means be released.
It certainly is an fascinating thought. I’d like to see it succeed.
i unno…..might …
i unno…..might work…not the greatest time for this thing to launch though
the largest hurdle …
the largest hurdle has to be getting a fan base and getting equipment off the ground. if people participate, this could be the next phase of music distribution.
NEWSFLASH: some people thought dial up was here to stay too.
We fully support …
We fully support p2p filesharing. Thanks for your feedback!
Hmm…I can …
Hmm…I can download music for free or I could go through this incredibly stupid process of pledging. and waiting. Hmm… I wonder how this will do?
NEWSFLASH: Peer to Peer filesharing is here to stay. Get used to it.
We had some last …
We had some last minute changes that require more thorough testing. To a fantastic degree send you an email when we’re live. Thank you for following up!
What happened? Why …
What happened? Why was the release delayed?
Yeah DRM is ancient …
Yeah DRM is ancient fail…all music released on Musicslu will be DRM-free.
All users will be able to download music that has been successfully released on Musicslu, but basically those who pledged will get first dibbs on the initial download (pre-release-style). In view of the fact that one of the thoughts in the rear Musicslu is free sharing, we encourage the use of public bittorrent/p2p networks to facilitate sharing.
Thanks for your questions!
Thank you for your …
Thank you for your response, it was very apparent. Now I also have some other vital questions. Will you be releasing your music DRM free? I dearly hope you do, as DRM is “the ancient fail”. Additionally, will all users be able to download the music that the money for has been successfully raised, or will it be exclusive to the ones who have donated money?
No, Kanye West …
No, Kanye West hasn’t signed an covenant (yet!), but we have people working on snagging the huge artists. Hopefully we can get enough huge names so that everyone can see this as a viable alternative.
Thanks again for your feedback!
Thanks for the …
Thanks for the feedback! You make some fantastic points, and there will certainly be issues to resolve with major record marks, because we all know that whatever system artists and fans migrate to, the marks aren’t going to go out quietly.

The record marks …
The record marks generally control the artists; they’re the ones that make the most money out of it all. I have a question but, when you showed artists such as Kanye West on the site, does that mean he already signed an covenant for the site, or is that just hypothetical. Anyway, I agree with you that the current way of music distribution is failing, it will hopefully be over soon. I’m sure you’ve read this already, but it gave me quite the perspective on what it means to distribute music.
